Dr. Alfred Tsheboeng is a distinguished environmental practitioner and academic with over 30 years of experience in environmental management and impact assessments. He holds a Ph.D. from University College London and is a certified member of Environmental Assessment Practitioners Botswana (EAPB), where he also served as the founding Board Chairperson.
Dr. Tsheboeng is the Managing Director of E.I.A. Projects (Pty) Ltd, a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm based in Gaborone, Botswana. The company specializes in sustainable infrastructure development, offering services such as environmental and social governance audits, feasibility studies, and project management.
In addition to his role at E.I.A. Projects, Dr. Tsheboeng serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA), an organization dedicated to promoting citizen entrepreneurship in Botswana.
Dr. Tsheboeng’s expertise extends to multilateral environmental agreements, particularly those concerning biodiversity and heritage, including the United Nations Convention on Biodiversity, CITES, RAMSAR, and the World Heritage Convention. He has contributed to various international projects across countries such as Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, Laos, Mozambique, the Republic of Georgia, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe.
His commitment to environmental sustainability and community development is evident through his active involvement in national and international initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable practices and policies.
