Bifm Adjusts Operations Amid Severe Weather in Gaborone. Botswana Insurance Fund Management (Bifm) has announced operational adjustments in response to ongoing heavy rains and flooding in the greater Gaborone area. The decision follows an update from the Ministry of Environment, Tourism, and the National Disaster Management Office, warning of persistent inclement weather in the coming days
To ensure the safety of clients and staff, Bifm has implemented temporary changes for Thursday, February 20th. The Bifm Unit Trust branch at Fairgrounds Office Park in Gaborone and the Client Call Center will operate with reduced staff. Meanwhile, the Bifm Unit Trust office in Francistown will remain open and fully staffed. Additionally, all Head Office employees have been directed to work remotely until further notice.
Clients are encouraged to utilize Bifm’s online self-service platforms during this period. Services such as Bifm Smart Invest and the Bifm Investor Portal remain accessible, allowing users to manage their investments remotely. The organization has reassured customers that despite these adjustments, service delivery will continue uninterrupted.
