Morupule Coal Mine Welcomes Naledi Mining Services for Benchmark Visit. Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) recently hosted a delegation from Naledi Mining Services Company as part of a benchmark visit aimed at fostering industry collaboration and knowledge exchange. The visit provided the Naledi team with firsthand insights into MCM’s mining operations, safety protocols, and efficiency-driven processes.

The delegation toured both the Motheo Open Cast and Underground mines, gaining a comprehensive understanding of MCM’s approach to responsible mining. The Open Cast tour was led by Mining Engineer Planner Ms. Agnes Ramere and Shift Overseer Mr. Mooketsi Mogolodi, who shared detailed insights into open cast mining operations and best practices for maintaining efficiency while adhering to stringent safety measures.

For the Underground mine tour, the delegation was guided by Mr. Kaone Molefi, Mining Engineer – Coal Extraction, and Mr. Olefhile Cedrick Thobosi, Acting Mining Engineer – Conveying. They highlighted the distinct challenges of underground mining and the safety measures implemented to ensure a secure working environment.

The visit reinforced MCM’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and industry collaboration.
