Pedros and Hungry Lion Lend a Hand in Times of Need. In a show of community solidarity, two local businesses have come together to offer crucial support during the recent flood disaster in the region.
Pedros store manager Ms. Lesedi Babame made a generous contribution yesterday, presenting 100 meals to the Rescue Team who have been tirelessly working to save lives and provide aid to flood victims. During the handover, Babame emphasized the vital role these rescue workers play, stating that as a franchise, Pedros felt it was important to assist those who are putting their lives on the line for the safety of others. “It’s our responsibility to give back and support these heroes during such challenging times,” Babame remarked.
Meanwhile, Hungry Lion Area Manager for the South Region, Ms. Lindi Johannes, also made a donation of 100 meals, this time directed towards the victims of the floods. Johannes explained that the people affected by the disaster needed assistance in any form, and that providing meals was a simple but essential way to support those in need. “In times of crisis, it is important that we come together as a community. Every meal counts and we hope this small contribution can make a difference,” Johannes said.
Both donations highlight the importance of corporate social responsibility, especially in times of crisis. Pedros and Hungry Lion’s actions serve as a reminder that businesses have the power to make a meaningful impact, not just through their products, but through their involvement in their local communities.
