Botswana Tourism Invites Local Enterprises to Join Major 2025 Travel Fairs in South Africa. Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) has opened registration for Botswana-based and licensed tourism businesses to participate in two major international travel events scheduled for 2025: the World Travel Market (WTM) Africa and Africa’s Travel Indaba. These events present opportunities for tourism enterprises to showcase their offerings, connect with global buyers, and explore new business prospects.

WTM Africa will take place from 9 to 11 April 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, South Africa. Recognized as one of the six key events in the WTM portfolio, WTM Africa brings together over 6,000 industry professionals in a business-to-business setting focused on both inbound and outbound African travel markets.

Following this, Africa’s Travel Indaba is scheduled for 12 to 15 May 2025 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban. Known as one of Africa’s leading tourism marketing events, the Travel Indaba showcases a wide range of tourism products from across the continent and attracts international buyers and media. The event will include a dedicated Business Opportunity Networking (BON) Day on 12 May 2025.

BTO is inviting small- and large-scale operators to apply, with participation fees set at P15,000 and P40,000 respectively for each event. Interested businesses must be registered in Botswana, possess valid tourism licenses, and, for accommodation providers, hold current grading certificates. Applications should include company details, contact information, and the names of two representatives.

The registration deadline is Monday, 10 March 2025, and selection will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. Payments are required only after invoices have been issued.
