BotswanaPost Calls on Young Writers for International Letter Writing Competition. BotswanaPost has officially launched the 54th International Letter Writing Competition, inviting young writers between the ages of 9 and 15 to showcase their creativity. The competition, organized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), challenges participants to write a letter under the theme:
“Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you.”
This theme encourages young minds to reflect on environmental conservation and express their thoughts through the art of letter writing. The contest offers students a unique opportunity to compete on a global stage, with national winners advancing to represent Botswana internationally.
Botswana has a strong history in the competition, and organizers are hopeful that this year’s participants will continue that tradition. The top three winners at the national level will receive exciting prizes, with their submissions being judged based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the theme.
Submission Process and DeadlineAll letters must be submitted through the child’s respective school. The deadline for entries is 11 April 2025.
BotswanaPost, in partnership with the UPU, encourages students to participate and use this platform to share their thoughts on environmental responsibility through letter writing.
