Botswana and Ukraine Strengthen Tourism Collaboration. Botswana is set to expand its global tourism footprint following a strategic engagement between the Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) Kasane office and H.E. Dr. Oleksiy Sybak, Ambassador of Ukraine to Botswana. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral tourism relations, positioning Botswana as a preferred destination for Ukrainian and European travelers.

During his visit to Chobe, Ambassador Sybak emphasized Ukraine’s interest in fostering stronger tourism ties with Botswana, recognizing the country’s diverse natural attractions, including the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. He highlighted the potential for increased visitor exchange and sustainable tourism investment, which could benefit both nations.

The meeting also explored strategic initiatives to boost Botswana’s visibility in the Ukrainian and European tourism markets. These include collaborative marketing campaigns, media partnerships, and participation in international tourism exhibitions to attract more visitors.

As Botswana continues to enhance its position as a leading African tourism destination, engagements like these pave the way for greater cultural and economic exchanges, fostering global connections and sustainable tourism growth.
