Morupule Coal Mine Calls on Citizen Suppliers to Join Safety and Sustainability Engagement. Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) has extended an invitation to all citizen-owned businesses that are registered MCM suppliers to participate in its upcoming SHE Strategy Engagement, aimed at aligning partners with the mine’s Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) goals.
This initiative, part of MCM’s Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP), seeks to introduce the mine’s recently launched SHE Strategy, which was unveiled in March 2025. The engagement will provide an in-depth look at the strategy’s vision and objectives, reinforcing the mine’s continued commitment to achieving Zero Harm across its operations.
The engagement will be led in collaboration with MCM’s Safety & Sustainability Department, under the leadership of Ms. Patricia Nkuna, Head of Safety & Sustainability. It will highlight how registered citizen suppliers play a vital role in the successful execution of the strategy, especially in areas concerning operational safety and environmental stewardship.
MCM’s SHE Strategy is built on the principle that safety and sustainability are not standalone practices but are embedded across all levels of operation—including supplier and partner relationships. The upcoming engagement session is intended to foster better understanding, accountability, and cooperation among all stakeholders.
Citizen-owned businesses registered with MCM are encouraged to register for the engagement via the following link: https://shorturl.at/0vXHm.
