BEMA Calls on Botswana Manufacturers to Submit Data for Sector Growth. The Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association (BEMA) has issued a national call to all manufacturers in the country as part of its efforts to strengthen Botswana’s manufacturing sector.
In a notice dated February 25, 2025, BEMA invited manufacturers to participate in an initiative aimed at driving industrial growth, increasing exports, and securing both local and international opportunities. BEMA has stated that it is working in collaboration with the government to enhance support for manufacturers, particularly through local procurement and other interventions.
To advance this goal, BEMA is collecting comprehensive data on manufacturing companies operating in Botswana. This includes information on the products they manufacture, their locations, and their production capacities. BEMA has also indicated that companies which have ceased operations but still possess machinery may be considered for potential revival with appropriate government support.
Manufacturers interested in participating are encouraged to contact BEMA immediately to be included in the process. Participants are required to complete forms provided by BEMA and submit them by the deadline of March 10, 2025.
BEMA emphasized the importance of this initiative as an opportunity to help shape the future of Botswana’s manufacturing industry. The organization has also highlighted its ongoing work with the government to prioritize local manufacturers in procurement processes and policy frameworks.
Manufacturers seeking more information can contact BEMA through email at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at 74425875/76142805.
