BITC Strengthens Retailer Collaboration to Boost Local Products Through #PushaBW. The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) is strengthening its efforts to promote locally made products by hosting a #PushaBW Retailers Engagement Session. The initiative brings together retailers, distributors, and key business support stakeholders to discuss ways to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Botswana-made goods.

Launched in 2018, the #PushaBW campaign encourages individuals, corporations, and retailers to support local businesses by purchasing and promoting Botswana-produced products and services. Over the years, the campaign has contributed to a growing awareness of local brands, fostering greater consumer confidence and market demand.

The engagement session provides a platform for open dialogue between retailers and industry stakeholders, focusing on challenges and opportunities within the local supply chain. Discussions center on strategies to improve the availability of Botswana-made products in major retail outlets, optimize distribution networks, and strengthen partnerships within the hospitality sector.

Key organizations participating in the session include the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), the Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association (BEMA), and Air Botswana. Their involvement highlights the broader commitment to driving economic growth through local enterprise development.

By fostering collaboration between retailers and business enablers, BITC aims to further integrate locally produced goods into mainstream markets, ensuring sustainable growth for Botswana’s businesses. The engagement session marks another step toward reinforcing the impact of #PushaBW in shaping a thriving local economy.
