BMC CEO Resigns Amid Ongoing Challenges at the Commission. According to The Voice Newspaper Botswana, David Tsheboeng, CEO of Botswana Meat Commission (BMC), has resigned with immediate effect as of January 31st, 2025.
His resignation comes during a challenging time for BMC, which has been grappling with labor unrest. Employees had downed tools over unpaid accommodation and abattoir allowances, promises made by management last year.
Additionally, BMC has been struggling to pay farmers on time, with some waiting for payments for over four months. Tsheboeng, who was appointed in June 2022, took over after a series of CEO departures within a span of five years.
His resignation highlights ongoing issues within the company, leaving questions about the leadership transition and BMC’s future management strategy.
