She credits the program for helping her maximize sales while keeping costs low, strengthening her business foundation.Her entrepreneurial journey took a significant leap forward when she won the Tokafala-Stanbic Bank Business Pitch competition, securing P250,000 in funding. This investment will allow her to expand into peanut butter production, further solidifying Aneela Africa’s presence in the local food industry.

Tokafala, an enterprise development initiative launched by Debswana in partnership with the Government of Botswana, De Beers, and Anglo American, has played a key role in supporting small, micro, and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs). By equipping young entrepreneurs with critical business skills and funding opportunities, the program contributes to job creation and economic diversification.
