BotswanaPost Announces Service Restoration Following IT Disruption. BotswanaPost has resumed operations after an IT service disruption on March 31, 2025, but is still operating with limited services in some locations. The postal service provider issued a public notice on April 1, 2025, informing customers about the ongoing restoration process.
While most post offices are now functional, BotswanaPost confirmed that several key branches remain closed until further notice. These include Poso House, the International Mail Exchange Center (IMEC), post offices at Sir Seretse Khama, Maun, and Kasane airports, as well as Squaremart, Kgabo Mall, Blue Jacket (Francistown Business Centre), Sherwood, and the University of Botswana.
BotswanaPost assured customers that its IT team is working diligently to fully restore all services. “Our team is working around the clock to ensure normal operations resume as soon as possible,” the statement read.
