The Botswana Stock Exchange Limited (BSE), in collaboration with Stanbic Bank Botswana, held an awards ceremony today to honor the winners of the 2024 National Finance & Investment Competition. Hosted at the BSE offices, the event marked the culmination of a month-long contest aimed at promoting financial literacy and investment skills among participants.

The competition, which ran from November 4th to December 3rd, 2024, leveraged the BSE Stanbic Bank Stock Market Simulator. This innovative platform offers participants a hands-on, risk-free trading experience, teaching them about stock selection, portfolio management, and tracking investment performance in a virtual environment.

The winners of the competition were awarded share vouchers worth P15,000, redeemable at any licensed broker, as a starting point for their real-world investment journey:
• 1st Place: Ms. Ontlametse Modibe (P7,500 share voucher)
• 2nd Place: Mr. Tshephang Atlarelang (P5,000 share voucher)
• 3rd Place: Mr. Kaone Bothang (P2,500 share voucher)
