BTC Completes Renovation of Jubilee Psychiatric Ward at Nyangabgwe Hospital. Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) has officially handed over the refurbished Jubilee Psychiatric Ward at Nyangabgwe Hospital in Francistown, following a BWP 170,000 investment through its Employee Social Investment Movement (BTC-ESI). The initiative aimed to enhance the quality of care by improving the ward’s infrastructure for both patients and medical staff.
The renovations included ceiling replacement, internal and external painting, window pane replacements, and upgrades to floor and wall tiling. Additionally, BTC funded plumbing improvements, bathroom partitioning, and the installation of rainwater gutters, ensuring a safer and more comfortable environment for mental health patients.
This project aligns with BTC’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy, focusing on impactful investments in healthcare, education, and community development. The refurbishment of the psychiatric ward highlights the company’s commitment to social well-being and improved healthcare infrastructure.
