Competition Authority Seeks Public Input on Proposed Property Acquisition in Gaborone. The Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) has announced a proposed merger involving the acquisition of Lot 73263 Gaborone, a portion of Lot 64285, by Power Energy Africa Proprietary Limited from Zismo Engineering Proprietary Limited. The regulatory body is now inviting public feedback on the transaction.

Power Energy Africa, the acquiring company, is newly registered in Botswana and has yet to commence trading. It is solely owned by shareholders Yaoming Liang and Yi Yan and is not controlled by or affiliated with any other entities.

Zismo Engineering, the selling entity, is an established electrical engineering firm operating in Botswana. Its shareholders include Shana K Moilwa, Justice Thebe Moilwa, and Mojasegoro Kgosinkwe. The company’s directors are Senzile Zinzi Moilwa, Mojasegoro Kgosinkwe, Justice Thebe Moilwa, and Shana K Moilwa.

The proposed acquisition will see Power Energy Africa become the sole owner of the property in question. In accordance with Section 50(3) of the Competition Act 2018, the CCA is calling for submissions from interested stakeholders, whether in support of or against the merger.

Stakeholders wishing to provide input have 10 days from the date of the notice to submit their concerns or support to the CCA via mail, fax, or email.
