Debswana Diamond Company has been confirmed as the Diamond Sponsor for the Future of Mining Summit 2025, scheduled for June 18-19 at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds, Gaborone. The summit, themed “New Opportunities, Smart Partnerships,” will bring together industry leaders to discuss advancements and collaboration in the mining sector.
Established in 1969, Debswana is a major player in the global diamond industry, ranking among the top producers by value and volume. The company employs around 5,000 staff members and 6,000 contractors, making it one of Botswana’s largest private-sector employers. It operates four mines—Jwaneng, Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa—with its corporate headquarters in Gaborone.
