“Dices and Dreams” Program Launched to Curb Underage Gambling and Inspire Students. The Gambling Authority has officially launched its youth-centered initiative, Dices and Dreams, aimed at promoting responsible behaviour and discouraging underage gambling among students. The program was unveiled today at Motswedi Junior Secondary School, where Public Educator Mavis Madumetse led an engaging session with learners and educators.

The Dices and Dreams program encourages young people to “Keep the main thing the main thing” — a message designed to help students prioritise their education and future aspirations above risky behaviours such as illegal gambling. The campaign uses interactive, youth-friendly games and practical activities to build assertiveness and decision-making skills.

During the session, Madumetse also empowered teachers with the tools to identify signs of underage gambling among learners and provide support where necessary. The program highlights the long-term impact of gambling on academic performance and personal development, stressing the importance of staying focused on school and career goals.

The Gambling Authority continues to take a proactive stance in promoting responsible gambling and ensuring youth are protected from harmful practices that can derail their futures.
