DTC Botswana Partners with Swimming Association in Multi-Million Pula Sponsorship. DTC Botswana has announced a landmark partnership with the Botswana Swimming Sports Association (BSSA), pledging a sponsorship of P3 million over the next three years. This investment aims to support the Long-Term Athlete Development Programme, a key initiative designed to nurture Botswana’s swimming talent and enhance their competitiveness on the global stage, including the 2028 Olympic Games.

The partnership reflects DTC Botswana’s broader commitment to youth empowerment through sports, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a culture of excellence. By providing financial support, the company seeks to create opportunities for young swimmers to refine their skills, compete at higher levels, and represent Botswana internationally.

Speaking at the cheque handover ceremony, DTC Botswana Managing Director Sedireng Serumula highlighted the significance of collaboration in sports development. He emphasized that sustained investment and cooperation from various stakeholders are essential in building a strong foundation for future athletes.

“This partnership is not just about funding; it’s about investing in Botswana’s sporting future,” Serumula said. “We believe in the potential of our young swimmers, and through this programme, we aim to equip them with the resources and training they need to reach the highest levels of competition.”
