Engineering Institute of Technology Expands into Botswana with New Office Launch. The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) has officially opened its first office in Botswana, marking a strategic expansion aimed at improving access to specialized engineering education across the region.

The new office is situated at the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub in Gaborone and was inaugurated on Friday, 4 April 2025. The event was attended by government representatives, education stakeholders, industry partners, students, and members of the public.

This milestone builds on the success of EIT’s South African support office, which has experienced significant growth since its establishment five years ago. The Botswana office will serve as a regional base to facilitate student support, institutional partnerships, and engagement with the local engineering and technology ecosystem.

The institute offers a range of online and blended learning programs in electrical, mechanical, civil, and industrial automation engineering. The new office is expected to provide localized support services, helping students and industry professionals navigate course offerings and access resources more easily.

The move underscores EIT’s mission to bridge the global engineering skills gap by providing accessible and industry-relevant training. It also aligns with Botswana’s national development priorities, particularly those focused on digital transformation and technical capacity-building.
