ITFFA and Africa’s Eden Unite to Boost Sustainable Tourism Through Film. The International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) and Botswana-based non-profit Africa’s Eden have partnered to drive sustainable tourism and conservation efforts across the continent. This collaboration aims to promote Africa as a top film production destination while fostering economic development, environmental protection, and cultural preservation.

Through this partnership, filmmakers will gain exclusive access to Africa’s Eden’s network of over 400 properties, activities, and tour operators. This will allow them to capture Africa’s unspoiled landscapes and vibrant cultures, helping to tell authentic stories that resonate with global audiences.

A major aspect of the initiative is the promotion of sustainable filmmaking practices. By incorporating responsible production techniques and offering industry workshops and training, the collaboration seeks to empower local talent while ensuring that film tourism benefits both communities and ecosystems. Additionally, by encouraging more international film projects in Africa, the initiative is expected to boost local economies and create job opportunities.

Sustainability is a key priority for both ITFFA and Africa’s Eden. Their efforts are focused on promoting ethical travel that not only showcases Africa’s natural beauty but also invests in its people and wildlife conservation. ITFFA, which has been advocating for eco-friendly tourism and film practices for seven years, continues to work with organizations like the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Program (STPP) to raise awareness and inspire responsible travel.

By combining their expertise, ITFFA and Africa’s Eden plan to use film as a powerful tool to highlight conservation efforts and position Africa as a destination of choice for travelers. Their goal is to shape a compelling narrative that attracts visitors while ensuring that tourism remains a force for good on the continent.
