Paratus Donates Tuckshop to Botshelo Tshinki. For over 15 years, Botshelo Tshinki has been a familiar presence at the Fairgrounds office area, serving freshly made magwinya, chips and snacks to the morning crowd. Each day, she travels 40 kilometres from Mankgodi, arriving by 5am to prepare her offerings, ensuring customers have warm, fresh food ready as they start their day.

Recognising her commitment and the vital role she plays in the Fairgrounds community, Paratus Botswana supported Botshelo’s business by donating a custom-designed tuckshop. Working closely with Botshelo, Paratus incorporated her specifications to best suit her daily needs. The design includes dual-side openings for improved airflow and accessibility, creating a welcoming environment for customers. A local construction company was engaged in building the tuckshop, enhancing her workspace and improving her work conditions.

“Botshelo has become part of our Paratus family, she’s right by our front door, and she was here before us,” says Shawn Bruwer, Managing Director of Paratus Botswana. “We’re proud to support her hard work and positive presence.” This initiative reflects one of the company’s core values of loyalty, emphasising the importance of caring for people within our community. By supporting Botshelo’s longstanding efforts, Paratus is helping to ensure that her invaluable presence in the community continues to thrive.

Paratus connects businesses and homes across Botswana to the country, Africa, and the world. As the leading supplier of connectivity, voice, internet, cloud, and satellite services in the region, the company merged with Broadband Botswana Internet (BBi) in 2022 to enhance services for home and SME markets.
