XBOLD Technologies Founder Expands Business with Tokafala Support. After facing setbacks in his early entrepreneurial journey, Ontlametse Archibold Moiteelasilo, founder of XBOLD Technologies, has successfully revived his business with the help of the Tokafala Program.
XBOLD Technologies specializes in fiber connections, network infrastructure, and audio-visual systems. Initially, Ontlametse struggled when his first venture in Kasane failed, leaving him unemployed and uncertain about his future. However, in 2023, he joined the Tokafala Program in Letlhakane, gaining vital business skills in sales management, strategic planning, and financial management.
With this newfound knowledge, he restructured XBOLD Technologies, leading to a 70% increase in sales. This growth allowed him to purchase essential equipment and secure a sustainable monthly income. His client base now includes walk-in customers, government institutions, and private companies.
Beyond business success, Ontlametse is dedicated to job creation in the Boteti district. With Tokafala’s guidance, he developed a solid business plan that helped him secure funding through the Debswana CEEP-Stanbic Bank grant. This financial boost enabled him to expand operations and increase his staff to three employees.
The Tokafala Programme is a collaborative enterprise development initiative by Debswana, the Government of Botswana, De Beers, and Anglo American, aimed at supporting small, micro, and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs). The program plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth and job creation in Botswana.
